For next several weeks, bridge over Drainage Bayou along Brian Road will be closed in Zachary

ZACHARY — For the next several weeks, the bridge over Drainage Bayou along Brian Road will be closed.
Starting Tuesday, East Baton Rouge City-Parish Department of Transportation and Drainage Traffic Engineering Division crews will repair the bridge, which is along Brian Road near where the roadway becomes Thompson Road.
The closure and repairs will last through Oct. 1.

TEAM 2 TRAFFIC: Traffic congested several miles after crash on I-10 eastbound near Perkins Road

BATON ROUGE — A crash on I-10 eastbound near Perkins Road left the left lane blocked Friday afternoon.
The crash, first reported around 12:37 p.m., left traffic congested past the I-10/12 merge.
By 1:40 p.m., the roadway reopened.

BATON ROUGE — A crash on I-10 westbound near the I-10/12 merger is causing several miles of congestion.
The crash was first reported around 8 a.m.
Only one lane is blocked at the scene of the crash, but congestion extends past Siegen Lane.

Westbound side of US 190 on Huey P. Long Bridge to close as crews work to replace failing joint

Bridge replacement starting Monday will close Old Genessee Road in Tangipahoa Parish for 6 months

TICKFAW — A bridge replacement starting Monday will close Old Genessee Road in Tangipahoa Parish for half a year.
Old Genessee Road will be closed approximately one mile east of U.S. 51 and about 0.4 miles west of La. 1065.
The closure is expected to last approximately six months while crews replace the existing bridge with a new, safer structure.

PORT ALLEN — A vehicle fire blocked an off-ramp on I-10 westbound at the La. 415/Lobdell exit in West Baton Rouge Parish.
The fire was first reported around 5:16 a.m. on Thursday. Around 6 a.m., the roadway reopened.

2 injured after vehicle overturns along I-12 eastbound at Sherwood Forest Boulevard

BATON ROUGE — An overturned vehicle blocked multiple lanes on I-12 eastbound at Sherwood Forest Boulevard on Wednesday.
The crash happened around 6:50 a.m. By 9 a.m., the crash was cleared.
Two people were injured in the crash, officials added. Their conditions are not currently known.
Traffic is congested following the crash and backed up to Drusilla Lane.
