BRUSLY — The father of a teenager who was involved in a golf cart crash over the weekend has been issued a misdemeanor summons for improper supervision of a minor, according to officials.

Brusly Police Chief Jonathan Lefeaux confirmed on Tuesday that Ryan Jeansomme, the father of the juvenile driving the cart, received the summons. No one else is expected to be ticketed, Lefeaux said.

On Saturday, police said a silver Mercedes SUV tried to pass a golf cart on West St. Francis Road while the driver of the golf cart attempted to turn onto Elaine Street. Video of the incident shows the SUV hitting the golf cart—causing it to flip over and injuring two juveniles—before leaving the scene.

Brusly Police used materials left behind by the SUV at the scene along with cameras placed around town to track down the vehicle.
