BATON ROUGE - Deputies are investigating after a car ran into a house on Monday afternoon. 

The St. George Fire Department said a car rammed into a home along Stones River Avenue around 3 p.m. The driver was removed safely from the vehicle and no other people were injured.

Firefighters found a small fire in the home, but said it was quickly put out. 

The East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office said that there were no injuries and the cause was still under investigation.
