Tigers look to limit Aggies QB Reed

BATON ROUGE - The LSU Tigers (2-1, 0-1 SEC) will look for a bounce-back effort on Saturday night when Texas A&M (2-1, 0-1 SEC) rolls in to town for the second straight season for a 6:49 p.m. kickoff that can be seen on WBRZ on Saturday night.
LSU will be taking the field without two of it's more versatile playmakers in tight end Trey'Dez Green and safety Dashawn Spears after both suffered significant injuries in game action against Ole Miss.
The Tigers did get some good news on the injury front as cornerback Ja'Keem Jackson was upgraded from "doubtful" to "questionable" and safety Tamarcus Cooley was no longer listed on the injury report after appearing on Wednesday as "questionable".
Texas A&M and LSU clash in a top ten showdown as the Tigers are ranked No. 10 in the AP Poll and No. 11 in the Coaches Poll and the Aggies are No. 23 and No. 20 respectively.
Both teams are coming off a SEC loss as LSU dropped a 32-24 loss to No. 8 Ole Miss, while Texas A&M dropped a 31-21
decision to Kentucky.
Last year the Aggies beat LSU 49-24, however since A&M joined the SEC in 2012, the Tigers are is 9-5 against the Aggies including a 6-1 mark in Tiger Stadium. Lane Kiffin is 3-0 all-time against Texas A&M with all three victories coming while at Ole Miss.
LSU is 25-2 in its last 27 night games in Tiger Stadium, a stretch that dates back to the final two games in 2021.
