BATON ROUGE — About 1,200 people climbed the stairs at Tiger Stadium to honor first responders lost in the Sept. 11 attacks.

The LSU Corps of Cadets and students took part in the event, which is in its fourth year.

The group climbed more than 2,200 steps to mark 25 years since the attack on the Twin Towers in New York in 2001.
