BATON ROUGE — The Baton Rouge Parish Library showcased several artists from the city's hip hop scene during Red Stick Rhythms Hip Hop Night on Saturday at the Main Library at Goodwood.

Five local artists featured on the library's Red Stick Rhythms digital music platform took the stage, highlighting the range of hip hop being created in the Baton Rouge area.

The lineup included several Baton Rouge natives alongside others who began their artistic career within the city, including St. Missy, Army of 2wo, Dontay McFly, KnightShift Krewe and International Bleuski.

Organizers said the concert series will continue throughout the fall with local jazz and gospel musicians on Nov. 7, followed by rock-and-roll artists on Dec. 12.
