BATON ROUGE — BREC held a final public feedback meeting on a plan to enhance one of its parks.

BREC is working with design team Sasaki to improve parking, the golf course and the City-Brooks Park, pulling ideas from three different proposals.

"I think throughout this process numerous people thought the changes were too dramatic," said one attendee. "I think hopefully what they see here tonight is that we did listen to that feedback."

Not everyone at the meeting was on board with the scope of the changes.

"Pretty much I think BREC is a beautiful park," another attendee said. "I really don't think it needs that much change."

The BREC Commission will have the final approval and is set to consider the plan at a meeting next week.
